Subtraction Concept Map!

This concept map was created as part of a Depth of Content Assignment for my CI 3030: Investigating Mathematics and Learning class. I began by making a simple map in Microsoft Word that illustrated what content I felt was critical to the understanding of subtraction, and then revised my map three times based on new information we explored in class. Each revision allowed me to add more information, not only about subtraction itself, but also how children may understand subtraction concepts, and learning strategies that children would benefit from using. Completing this assignment gave me great insight into teaching subtraction to my future students!
